A WOMAN who smuggled prescription drugs into a North-East jail was told by a judge she is facing an inevitable jail sentence.

Amanda Keenan, 34, of Cresswell Road, Grangetown, Middlesbrough, admitted taking a quantity of diazepam and buprenorphine into Stockton’s Holme House prison on July 14 this year.

The case, at Teesside Crown Court, was adjourned for sentence on January 7 after Judge Michael Taylor accepted a request for a report on Keenan.

He bailed her and warned: “A prison sentence is inevitable. Put your affairs in order.”
