POLICE would like to question this man in connection with the theft of a sculpture worth thousands of pounds from a Newcastle gallery.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said the work called Hand of God was taken from the Castle Fine Art in Grey Street, Newcastle, at about 2.05pm on Saturday, October 4.
Made of aluminium and mounted on a granite base, the sculpture is work around £7,000.
Inquiries are ongoing and police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the theft, as he may be able to “help with inquiries”.
Anyone who has any information into the theft is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference number 943 04/10/14.
