FOOTBALL manager Andre Villas-Boas is supporting an auction in aid of Sir Bobby Robson’s cancer charity.

The former Chelsea and Spurs boss has donated a trip for two to meet him at his current club, Zenit St Petersburg, in Russia.

The winners will get return flights, two nights’ accommodation, a chat with “AVB” and match tickets.

Sir Bobby, the former Newcastle United and England manager, worked with Mr Villas-Boas at Porto, in Portugal.

“Sir Bobby is a true legend of the game. He was a great man, a great manager and a great gentleman.

“I often think of him and the inspiration he gave me, not only at Porto but throughout his life,” the Portuguese coach said.

The auction will support the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.

Other prizes include VIP tickets to the Fifa Ballon d’Or Awards, the chance to play at England’s St George’s Park training base, a football signed by Lionel Messi and Xavi and Champions League Final tickets.

The auction is open now. Bidding closes at 8pm on Sunday (October 19). For more information, visit sirbobbyrobsonfoundation.org.uk
