A YOUNG Staffordshire Bull Terrier is looking for a new home after her owner had to give her up due to ill health.
Three-year-old Ellie is being cared for by the National Animal Sanctuaries Support League (Nassl), which has a base near Darlington, where staff are trying to find her a loving home.
Pauline Wilson, from Nassl, said: "She is everything that is good about the breed. She has a sound temperament, loves the company of people, gets on with other dogs and is fine with cats.
"She is full of fun and just loves life. Her owner was unable to keep her due to ill health and found the decision to give her up a very hard one. She needs an active home where she will be a big part of family life."
Anyone interested in rehoming Ellie is asked to call 01325-321855 or 07748268822.
