PRINCESS Anne will take the salute when the Royal Corps of Signals holds a Freedom Parade in Richmond’s Market Place on September 11.
The Corps’ Colonel-in-Chief, the Princess Royal will also inspect the troops and present awards during the parade, which commemorates the Corps holding the Freedom of the town for the last 50 years.
The band and marching troops will march into the Market Place around 11am and the Princess will inspect the front rank along with the Master of Signals.
A request will then be made for permission to exercise their right to march and the march will then commence right around the Market Place.
Local schools have been invited to take their pupils to watch the event.
