A NUMBER of special guests will be making an appearance at Kirkleatham Museum on Sunday, as part of an exhibition of show business memorabilia.

There will be look-a-likes from films including Alien, Star Wars, and Back to the Future as well as a replica of ‘Kitt’ the Knight Rider car, at the family-friendly exhibition.

Councillor Olwyn Peters, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's cabinet member for culture, leisure and tourism, said the exhibition is a must-see for any movie lover.

She said: "People who come along on Sunday will be given the chance to get up close and personal with some of the most recognisable characters in show business and there will be something of interest for all movie fans.”

Celebrity Movie Treasures is the second paid-for exhibition in the museum’s history costing £2 for adults and £1 for children but under-fives go free.

Items linked to the likes of movie stars Johnny Depp, Marilyn Monroe and Nicholas Cage, as well as of pop stars Rhianna and Michael Jackson, are on display at the museum, near to Redcar.

The museum is open 10am to 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday, but last admission into the exhibition is 4pm.

The grounds and the rest of the museum, including the award winning Saxon Princess permanent exhibition, will remain free.
