The show will host a variety of attractions, family events and exhibitions on Saturday in St John’s Chapel.
Included in the itinerary is archery, bale stacking and laser clay shooting, as well as a gladiator joust and a penalty shoot out.
There will also be trade stands a raffle, with prizes including organic fruit, vegetables and eggs, a family ticket for Alston Railway and Killhope Leadmine, and vouchers for local shops.
Joan Warriner, a joint secretary at Weardale Show, has been involved with the show preparation for more than a decade.
She said: “I’m really looking forward to it, we always look forward to the show, it’s manic for a month before hand but it’s always worth it.”
Doors to the main show field open to the public at 9am, and judging will begin at 9.30am. Entry costs £6 for adults, £2 for children and car parking is free. For more information visit weardale-show.co.uk
