POLICE are investigating after a biker was killed on a North-East country road over the weekend.
The 31-year-old motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries at 3.10pm on Sunday after his Kawasaki collided with an Iveco box van on the B6309, near Stocksfield, in Northumberland.
The driver and passenger of the van were uninjured.
Emergency services attended and the road was closed for a short time.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: “Officers are carrying out enquiries in order to establish what happened and are asking any witnesses to contact them.”
