CLASSIC vehicle enthusiasts have attended the 30th annual bus rally in the North-East.
The show by the North-East Bus Preservation Trust was held at Seaburn Recreation Park in Sunderland on Bank Holiday Monday.
Nearly 200 vehicles, including vintage and veteran cars, commercials vehicles, buses and coaches were exhibited.
It was a special occasion for North-East bus spotter Terry Christie, who is celebrating his 50th birthday on Thursday.
Mr Christie, who is from East Herrington, near Sunderland, said: “I have had a great day. It has been wonderful seeing all of these old buses, cars and lorries.
“It is a bit of an early birthday present for me. I have had a marvellous day.”
Visitors were able to inspect stands selling toys, models, books, photographs and transport paraphernalia.
There were also refreshments, children’s rides and inflatables.
A spokesman for the North-East Bus Preservation Trust said: “This event is now regarded as one of the most prestigious on the rally calendar, with many different types of vehicles represented.
“It is traditionally attended by over 2,000 people, ranging from enthusiasts to families of all ages.”
