GREEN-FINGERED gardeners still have over a week to enter their pride and joy in the rejuvenated Darlington in Bloom competition.
Horticulture enthusiasts across the borough were left disappointed when low entry numbers forced the cancellation of the event last month.
It was given another chance when The Northern Echo teamed up with contest organisers Darlington Borough Council to relaunch the competition using social media.
A £25 garden centre voucher is available for the winners of the following categories: best yard, best individual garden, best community garden, best business and best alternative garden, to include window boxes/tubs and allotments.
To enter, send a photograph of your entry to communications@darlington.gov.uk by Tuesday, August 26.
Entries will then be uploaded to the council and Northern Echo Facebook pages, with the entries gaining the most 'likes' by September 10 being declared the winner.
