A COURTING couple's wedding plans will receive a welcome boost thanks to The Northern Echo's monthly £1,000 cash giveaway.
The latest winner is Christine Leslie, from Darlington, who is giving half of her winnings to her son and his fiancee as they prepare for their big day.
Mrs Leslie plans to put the other half towards some home improvements.
She said: "I was really happy when I found out I had won, my legs went to jelly when I was told, and I couldn't stop smiling."
Mrs Leslie's son, Peter, 26, and his partner Kirsty, are getting married in June next year.
She received her cheque along with daughters Abbie and Joanne, as well as grandsons Jason, three, and one-year-old Shane.
All are sure to get a treat from her winnings as well.
