SHOPPERS in a North-East town hit the right note as they recreated a famous scene from a 1980s movie on a larger-than-life piano.
Tom Hanks played a foot-operated electronic keyboard in the 1988 age-swap comedy Big, performing Heart and Soul and Chopsticks.
Shoppers in the Cornmill Centre, in Darlington, had the chance to follow in his footsteps on Saturday (August 9).
Would-be pianists were given the chance to step on the oversized keys and perform their own tunes, while a compere showed people how to play an interactive game in which people stepped on different keys to perform a range of songs.
There will be face-painting and candy floss in a seaside-themed fun day at the Cornmill on Thursday (August 14).
