WHEN Yorkshire’s moment to shine on the world stage arrived with the peloton, the county more than rose to the occasion.

The joie de vivre felt by residents and visitors alike as they celebrated the arrival of the Tour de France’s Grand Depart was palpable.

And now, as the county celebrates Yorkshire Day, The Northern Echo is giving readers a chance to buy their own mementos of the event with a special offer on these stunning photographs of le tour.

The images, ranging from the dramatic scenes on Buttertubs Pass, to the crowds which packed York city centre, show the county off at its very finest.
