Perfect Gentleman who will always be remembered by everyone with love and fondness. A true legend in football but also a true legend in the fight against cancer. Even though you're no longer with us, you're memory will live on forever. Thank you Sir Bobby, "Wor Bobby" xxx

An engaging character, incredibly passionate and prone to the odd gaff - always great entertainment! Qualities that seem to be diminishing in the modern game....

Wearside?
Bobby Robson was born in the County Durham village of Sacriston, three miles north of Durham City which has a DH7 postcode, not a wearside lad at all.

True legend on and off the pitch. Left his mark on so many clubs and fans around the world!
Had the honour of meeting him on a training session while he was manager of Newcastle and her took the time out to welcome everyone and make sure we were enjoying the day!
Now he's gone his foundation goes from strength to strength to help fight to help the lives of others on a daily basis.
Lasting legacy from a great man! RIP Sir Bobby Robson

So Durham is not on the Wear... Okay.
I give up - I used to live on Connicliffe Road, Darlington where the RIVER TEES passes within 100 metres of the houses, but we weren't known as Teessiders.

Durham City IS on the Wear, but County Durham as a whole is not.

This c**p form a guy who questioned Wendy 32-10 as to what she meant when she said "Thank you Sir Bobby, "Wor Bobby" xxx"

He doesn't know what "Wor" or "Wearside" means.

Sounds as though you're not from these parts as you don't seem to know much.

Don't bother to answer, you'll only make yourself more of a prat than you have already.
There is no need t0 b3 upset.
