AN outdoor concert dedicated to tribute bands is expected to attract thousands of fans.

The UK’s only touring tribute act festival takes place at Riverside Park, Chester-le-Street, County Durham, on Saturday (August 2) between 12.30pm and 11,45pm.

The Chester-le-Street Fake Festival will feature the music of Oasis, Queen and Kasabian performed in a marquee.

“This will be the third an final date on the 2014 Fake Festivals tour for the North-East,” said Bec Evans, licensee for the event .

“Expect to see talented bands, amazing tributes and also a few familiar faces amongst the crowds as the day goes on.

“Oasish, Supreme Queen and Kazabian are ready to rock the tent out with their stage shows, so get your singing voices ready for some well-known anthems.

“We had two sell out events at Tynemouth and Whickham earlier this summer, so we really are keen for people who want to come to get an advanced ticket so they are not disappointed, as we have limited capacity inside the marquee.”

Advance tickets are £20 per adult, £10 per young person (10-17 years old) and £50 for a family. with Under-9s are free.
