THE founder of a teenage cancer charity is setting off on a Coast to Coast adventure to raise funds for Butterfly Giving.

Hannah Larkin will be joined by father Paul when they set off from St Bees in the morning (Satuday, July 26) and along the way they will be taking on a variety of tasty challenges in a bid to raise more than £1,000.

They will cover 190 miles and hope to reach Robin Hood's Bay in less than a fortnight.

The Middlesbrough teenager said: “En route, we'll be doing a challenge a day, with each being recorded and uploaded to Youtube. The one I'm least looking forward to is the Bush Tucker Trial, but 'Tin Can Roulette' or the baby food challenge both seem equally unappealing.

“We'll be video-blogging along the way, showing supporters what we're doing and just what their kind donations enable Butterfly Giving to do on a daily basis.

“We've got a Virgin Money Giving donate page which we've managed to raise more than £800 on already, which is so fantastic, but to get to the elusive £1000 mark would just be the icing on the cake.

“We'll be stopping off in villages along the way, trying to raise as much money as we can for the charity.”

The charity was set up by the teenager after she met a 17-year-old who had lost his leg as a result of cancer.

On Sunday, August 3, partway through the walk, the pair will host a fundraising afternoon, with BBQ at Ingleby Arncliffe village hall.
