THE Highways Agency is warning motorists over the closure of a section of the A19 next week.
Work to resurface the northbound carriageway of the A19 between South Kilvington and Borrowby, near Thirsk, North Yorkshire, will take place from Monday (July 28) to Saturday, August 9.
The road will be closed between South Kilvington and Osmotherley, from 8pm to 6am, except on Saturdays.
Signed diversion routes will take motorists to the A168, to Northallerton and on to the A684.
An agency spokesman said: “We will be carrying out essential resurfacing work on the A19 to provide a smoother road surface and improve safety for drivers.”
During the day a 50mph speed limit will be in operation as traffic will be using a temporary road surface.
