A TEENAGER is critically ill after falling more than 20ft down cliffs at a North-East park.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called to Mowbray Park, Sunderland, at about 7.30pm on Saturday after the 14-year-old girl fell 24ft.
She suffered serious head and pelvic injuries, as well as other internal injuries.
She was treated at the scene and taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, in Newcastle, by road ambulance with a trauma team because of the weather conditions.
The schoolgirl was said to be in a critical condition.
