A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of robbery after an incident at HSBC Bank in Stockton this afternoon.
The robbery on Stockton High Street was reported at 2.25pm.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "Police can now confirm the incident at HSBC in Stockton is robbery and a 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and is currently in police custody.
"At this stage there are no apparent injuries and the branch is closed while the investigation continues.
"Anyone who believes they have information or were in the area near to HSBC and have seen anything suspicious is asked to call Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101."
