A SEX offender is to stand trial accused of having intimate relations with an underage girl and spending a night in a tent with her and two of her friends.
Shaun Lee Curbison, 23, is also accused of meeting another underage girl on social media, all in breach of the terms of a sexual offences prevention order, imposed at Newcastle Crown Court, following a previous conviction, in June, 2012.
Mr Curbison, of Clarence Street, Tantobie, near Stanley, is also alleged to have failed to notify police of a change of address, earlier this year, again said to be in breach of the restrictions imposed on him under the order.
A date was today (Wednesday July 16) agreed for a trial of up to four days, covering all the allegations, to start at Teesside Crown Court, on October 20.
Mr Curbison was remanded back to custody following a preliminary hearing in the case at Durham Crown Court.
He will next appear at Teesside Crown Court to formally tender his pleas to a total of ten charges relating to the allegations, at a hearing on September 3.
