CHILDREN’S favourite Peppa Pig is returning to the North-East with a live show.

Peppa Pig’s Big Splash will be at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle on Saturday and Sunday, August 30 and 31.

The live puppet show is based around a leak in the nursery roof, which needs to be fixed by Mr Bull.

Popular characters from the Channel 5 programme include George, Mummy and Daddy Pig, as well as Danny Dog, Pedro Pony and Suzy Sheep.

The show features sing-a-long songs from BAFTA award-winning composer Mani Svavarsson and is directed by Richard Lewis following his previous successes with the first two Peppa Pig stage shows and the recent Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom tour.

Executive producer Martin Ronan said: “Peppa Pig's Big Splash will be a fun-packed experience for all Peppa fans.

“To date Peppa Live has played to almost 650,000 people and as we approach the tenth anniversary of Peppa being a family favourite, we hope the new show will thrill fans up and down the country.”

Shows are at 10am, 1pm and 4pm on both days with tickets from £12.50, £10.50 for children. They can be booked by calling 08448-112-121.
