A TEENAGER has died in hospital following a collision on the North York Moors last week.
The 19-year-old was seriously injured in a smash at 10.30pm on July 3 at the crossroads on two unclassified roads on the A171, near Egton.
The collision involved a black Ford Mondeo, travelling away from Egton, and a green Peugeot 206, heading towards Glaisdale.
The teenager, from Whitby, was taken to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough where he died on Tuesday, July 8.
Four men aged between 20 and 22 and a 16-year-old boy who were also injured in the collision have all now been released from hospital.
Traffic Constable Zoë Billings, of the police’s major collision investigation team, said: “If you have any information which could help progress this enquiry, I urge you to contact the police straight away.”
