POLICE have released a second photo of a man they want to speak to in connection with an attempted rape in Middlesbrough.

The search continues for 26-year-old Cezar Florea, who is of Romanian origin and has links to the Stockton, Middlesbrough and London areas.

The incident happened as a 51-year-old woman was walking to work at around 6am on Saturday 7th June on the A66 North Ormesby flyover near Lytton Street.

The victim suffered serious injuries, including a broken shoulder and broken nose and underwent hospital treatment.

Detective Inspector Mark Dimelow, from Middlesbrough Major Crime Team, said: "We are still keen to speak to Cezar Florea in connection with an attempted rape in North Ormesby which happened early last month. Officers are working through any information that comes in and we are asking the public to keep their eyes peeled for him.

"The photograph issued today is taken from social media and we know that it was taken just a few months ago. Anyone with information on where he may be is asked to contact police as a matter of urgency."

Members of the public are asked not to approach him, but to call 999 if they see him.

Anyone who may have information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
