POLICE have charged a man after the body of a woman was found in a house in Newcastle.
At 8.14am on Wednesday, June 25, police received a report of the death of the woman at the house at Lismore Place.
"The woman can now be identified as Shiela Crout, 65, of Lismore Place in Newcastle," a spokeswoman for Northumbria Police said.
"John Crout, 63, also of Lismore Place, has been charged with murder and will appear at Newcastle Magistrates' Court this morning, Thursday, June 26."
