A WOMAN was treated in hospital after being rescued from her burning home by firefighters.
The woman as asleep in her bedroom of the house in Paterson Crescent, Northallerton, when she was woken by smoke and called the fire brigade at 11.08pm on Sunday, June 15.
Fire engines were quickly on the scene and the woman was rescued by fire crews using a ladder. Two dogs were also rescued from the property.
The woman was taken to hospital for a precautionary check up and the cause of the blaze which caused substantial damage, is being investigated.
