DETECTIVES investigating a sex attack on a grandmother have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to.

The 52-year-old woman was walking to work along the A66 North Ormesby flyover, near Lytoon Street in Middlesbrough last Saturday morning at 6am when she was subjected to a brutal sexual assault.

The victim, who is still in hospital, suffered serious injuries including a broken shoulder, nose and arm. Police said she was deeply traumatised by the attack.

Detective Sergeant Jonathan Hagen said the CCTV image was of a man in the town centre who they believe may have key information about the incident.

Anyone with information, or can identify the man on the image, is asked to call the non-emergency number 101.
