General manager Andrew Nicholson raises a toast to the opening of The Library, Durham

First published in News

STUDENTS can honestly say they’re in the library when actually sneaking off for a quick drink thanks to a pub’s £260,000 refit.

The former Varsity bar, on Saddler Street, Durham City, has been refurbished and renamed The Library.

The new venue combines a bar with a cafe and study facilities such as super-fast broadband, a WiFi-linked printer, plugs and USB ports.

The Library is open now and until midnight seven days a week.

The relaunch has created seven new jobs.

So you call into question here, 'how does honesty work when the word you now use to describe the location you are at , 'The Library', has a double meaning, Something actually coniving and truly dishonest about that but whole heartedly funny..You could clear it up easily by explaining the type of research you'll be drinking...Have fun and be safe!
