A HEALTH and well-being charity will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Volunteers Week by staging a volunteering information event.
The Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) will showcase the volunteering opportunities on offer at its centre at Carers Way, in Newton Aycliffe, from 3pmto 6pm on Thursday.
PCP has 89 active volunteers who, between April last year and March this year, gave up more than 7,900 hours of their time.
Their support helped ensure the smooth running of the centre and projects at other locations.
The event will provide an opportunity to talk to existing volunteers about the positive effect volunteering has had on their lives, as well as to discover the skills and training on offer.
Refreshments will also be available.
Volunteers Week runs from Sunday and celebrates the valuable contribution volunteers make across the UK.
