SIX people, including two police officers, have been injured after an accident in Northumberland.
Shortly before 6.30pm on tonight (Wednesday) a police car travelling on the A1 in Stannington collided with a Nissan Qashqai.
"Four people from the Qashqai were taken to hospital for treatment to minor whiplash injuries," a Northumbria Police spokeswoman said.
"Two occupants from the police car also suffered minor injuries and received treatment.
"One lane of the A1 was closed for around an hour to allow for the vehicles to be recovered.
"Enquiries into the circumstances around the collision are ongoing."
