A NORTH Yorkshire town is getting ready to welcome hundreds of visitors with the arrival of the second major music festival.
Bedale Acoustic Music Festival, which was launched last year, gets underway on Friday, May 31. For three days the town will play host to more than 60 acts in concerts at cafes, pubs and on the streets of the town.
Shops have already started to dress their windows for the event. Visitors will be staying at two campsites, the main festival site at Big Sheep Little Cow Farm where there will be a 300 seat marquee and at Dobson’s Field, the home of Bedale Junior Football Club.
Acts including The Men They Couldn’t Hang, The Blues Band, Jez Lowe and The Young'uns will be performing over the weekend. There will also be special events for children and a town trail challenge has been devised to show visitors some of the hidden delights of the town.
