A MAN was taken to hospital following a three car collision on the outskirts of Durham City.
The accident happened just before 5.15pm on Saturday, near B&Q on Sunderland Road, and involved a Vauxhall Vectra, a Volvo and Mercedes Sprinter Van.
The man suffered minor injuries, not thought to be life-threatening, and was taken to the University Hospital of North Durham for treatment.
Police closed the road as accident investigators assessed the scene and the Vectra was taken away by a recovery vehicle.
