HARTLEPOOL Hospice is preparing to host its biggest ever fundraising dinner.
The main sponsor for the evening of fine dining and entertainment on Friday, July 4 is offshore engineering and fabrication contractor Heerema Hartlepool Ltd, while Wynyard Park is hosting the event at its exclusive function room suite, The Wynyard Rooms, and sponsoring the reception drinks.
The event will be compered by long-standing hospice supporter John Bickerstaff, and will feature comedian Steve Tandy, table magic from Ryan Metcalfe, a three-course dinner, a raffle and a charity auction.
Tickets are priced at £35, and groups of friends or work colleagues can purchase tables seating ten for £350.
Money raised from the event will be used by the hospice to fund its specialist care services which are provided free of charge.
It costs £2.4 million to provide these services each year and with just 23 per cent of this paid for by the government, the hospice relies on the support of businesses and individuals to bridge an annual £1,8 million shortfall.
Tickets for the dinner can be purchased via the hospice’s booking line on 01429 855552.
