EACH month, The Northern Echo highlights one of the many dogs looking for a home at the Dogs Trust, in Sadberge, near Darlington.

Rottweiler crosses Logan and Tia arrived at Dogs Trust Darlington last month having been found as strays.

Staff at the Dogs Trust believe Tia, who is about six-years-old, is two-year-old Logan’s mother, and would like to rehome them together due to their strong bond.

Logan is described by staff as a sweet dog who is a little nervous when meeting new people but is gaining more confidence. He enjoys learning new tricks and doing agility work and playing with a frisbee.

Tia is said to adore a cuddle and has been joining Logan in learning new tricks.

Sue Embleton, centre manager, said: “Pairs are often overlooked by potential owners who have probably only considered homing one dog.

“However rehoming a pair of dogs can be incredibly rewarding, especially if this means you’re helping to keep a family or a friendship together. Tia and Logan are looking for a fairly quiet home environment with no children as they may be a little too much for Logan at present.

“Ideally new owners will have had previous Rottweiler experience.”
