A CAMPAIGN to improve life for people in north Durham is underway.
The Community Action Team (CAT) is working in Leadgate until June 29.
The Durham County Council group is focusing on an area of around 600 properties including the Squares and Watling bungalows.
As well as dealing with environmental and housing issues, they also want to promote healthier lifestyles.
Members are keen to speak with the community groups working in the area as well as local residents.
There will be a residents' meeting held on Wednesday, May 14, from 6pm to 7.30pm at Leadgate Cricket Club in Garden Place for all local people interested in getting involved in the project.
For more information about the Leadgate CAT project, please contact Jennifer Jones directly on 03000-261-006 or log on to www.durham.gov.uk/cat
