SHOPPERS in a North-East town soaked up the Saturday sunshine while enjoying a classic and vintage vehicle display that runs throughout the Bank Holiday weekend.

The Northern Bygones Society held the display in Darlington’s Horsemarket, with some 20 vehicles booked to attend on each day.

Among the attractions was a Scotts Greys former Darlington bus, which its owner brought from Scarborough for the show.

The display runs from 10am to 4pm every day of the Bank Holiday weekend and precedes another show at the Head of Steam railway museum, on May 18.

The society meets at the Oakleaf Sports Complex, in Newton Aycliffe, on the second Thursday of each month.
