POLICE are trying to track down spray-paint vandals who struck at a Whitby shop.
The incident happened some time on Sunday night or Monday morning on the wall of the Great Goth Shop on Silver Street.
The vandals stuck images of a highlighter and marker pen to the wall before spray painting lines above them.
PC Matthew Rogers said: “Graffiti such as this, causes the owners of vandalised properties inconvenience and expense to have it removed.
“If you have any information which could help to identify those responsible for this pointless act of criminal damage, I urge you to contact the police straight away.”
Contact Whitby police on 101, select option two and ask for Matthew Rogers. Alternatively, information can be emailed to matthew.rogers@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
