TWO men suffered knife wounds during a disturbance in a seaside town.
It happened in North Parade, in Whitley Bay at about 6pm on Monday (April 28) Police officers were called out to a fight between a group of people.
The injured pair, aged 19 and 39, were taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle and released after treatment.
Seven men, aged 19, 24, 28, 30, 33, 40 and 42, have been arrested are helping police with their enquiries.
Police are carrying out enquiries in the area and additional officers are on patrol to reassure the community.
