Jewel thief hunted by police
A THIEF who stole more than £1,400 of gold bracelets from a Middlesbrough jewellers is being hunted by police.
The theft took place at about 2.25pm on Friday, February 21 at Herbert Brown's Jewellers on Newport Road, Middlesbrough.
A man went into the jewellers and asked to look at a tray containing gold bracelets, then snatched it away from the shop assistant and made off with three bracelets.
Police have now released a CCTV image in a bid to trace the thief. Anyone with information, or who may know the man’s identity, is asked to call PC Neil Horner on the non-emergency 101 number or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
