TWO motocross bikes with a combined value of £11,000 have been stolen from an insecure shed. Thieves climbed over a courtyard wall in Barbeck, Thirsk, at 11.30pm on Monday, April 21, and left with the orange 450cc and 350cc KTM SXF motocross bikes through the courtyard’s gate with the bikes towards Thirsk Industrial Park. COTTAGES BURGLED: Burglars broke into three holiday cottages in Aelfleda Terrace, Whitby, through the front doors, at 11.30pm on Thursday, April 24. Police were alerted after a resident saw torchlight near the properties. It is unknown if anything was stolen. Anyone with information should call police on 101.
