MISSING MAN FOUND: An East Cleveland man who was reported missing last week has been found in the North Yorkshire area.

Trevor Himsworth, from Boosbeck, was found safe and well yesterday afternoon (Sunday, April 27).

Cleveland Police thanked the public for their help in tracing him.

CRIME PANEL: The Hartlepool Crime Prevention Panel is looking for new members. The charity, which holds its AGM tonight (Monday, April 28) would like more people involved, particularly young people. Current members include local residents and representatives of local businesses and partner organisations including Hartlepool Council, Cleveland Police and Victim Support.

CANCER WALK: A special walk to raise funds for cancer charities took place in Hartlepool yesterday (SUnday, April 27). The Pool Together to Beat Cancer Walk was a 2.2 mile walk from Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience to Newburn Bridge and back.

The money raised will go towards the Mayor of Hartlepool’s charity fund in aid of Macmillan Cancer Supprot, the Pansies Breast Cancer Support Group and the Denise Taylor Cancer Trust.

CYCLING EVENTS: Specially-trained British Cycling ride leaders will host a series of bike rides in Middlesbrough.

The Sky Ride Local event offers people the chance to join organised, guided rides of varying distances and difficulties, ranging from easygoing spins to steady and challenging rides for those wanting more adventure.

The next rides are on Sunday, May 4 at 10am from Guisborough Forest Visitor Centre; Sunday, May 4 at 2pm from Stewart Park, Middlesbrough, and Sunday, May 11 at 2pm from Hemlington Recreation Centre.
