MAY FESTIVAL: The Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, based at St Osmund's Church, Gainford, is holding a May Festival on Friday, May 9. Starting at 7.30pm, it will feature mass and an outdoor procession. The celebrant will be Fr Ian Grieves and the preacher will be Fr John Kenrick, parish priest at St Dominic's, Newcastle. Refreshments will be served in the parish house.
FUN AFTERNOON: Barrington Lodge Care Home, Bishop Auckland, is to host an afternoon of bingo, a raffle and refreshments on Tuesday, April 29. The fun starts at 1.30pm, admission is £2 and all are welcome.
