PATIENTS at a Bishop Auckland hospice enjoyed an Easter treat as a chick and two ducklings were taken to the centre.
Staff at the Butterwick Hospice, on Woodhouse Lane, in Bishop Auckland, had a black rock chick and the chocolate coloured ducklings on Maundy Thursday. (April 17)
They were provided by Angela Malkin, of Hamsterley, who is a friend of hospice fundraiser Helen Kirby.
It was hoped that the hospice patients would name the birds during their visit.
