A HYPNOTHERPAIST who has developed her own weight-loss programme will host a one-off taster session in Darlington next month.

Debbie Holden, from Catterick, has developed a seven step weight-loss programme after her previous background in counselling led her to be fascinated with human development.

The qualified hypnotherapist has been in practice since 2001, and is offering a free taster session for her weight-loss scheme at Morton Park in Darlington on May 3.

She asks her clients to ditch traditional weight-loss methods, such as weekly weigh-ins, for a more comprehensive understanding of their relationship with food.

“I encourage my clients to see food as fuel and nothing more,” she added. “Diets present a quick fix and neglect the person inside.

“Low-calorie diets which present 600 calories as the ideal are wrong – we need at least 1000 calories a day for our brains to function.

“I try to understand the reasons behind eating, and encourage honesty.”

The session will take place held at The Morrison Trust, in Morton Park Business Training Centre, on Yarm Road, on Saturday, May 3 from 10am until noon, explaining the seven steps.

Places are limited to 20. To attend email debbie@debbieholden.com
