SNEAK BURGLARIES: Police are warning residents in Shildon to keep their property secure after four sneak burglaries in the town recently. There was one break-in on Ruby Street and another on St John’s Road plus two more on Coronation Avenue. Anyone who can help with enquiries, or who sees anyone acting suspiciously, should contact Shildon police on 101.
GARAGE INTRUDER: Police are hunting a man who attempted to break into garages on Larch Avenue, on Jubilee Estate, in Shildon, around 11pm last Friday. (April 11) An alarm on one of the garages was activated scaring away the intruder. Anyone who can help with enquiries should contact Shildon police on 101.
EASTER SALE: The Salvation Army, in Shildon, is to hold an Easter sale at its Cross Street base on Saturday (April 19) between 10am and noon. Entry is free and there will be refreshments.
