A TABLE top sale will be held at Hamsterley Village Hall on Saturday (April 19) to raise funds for the hoppings event.

The sale will be open from 10am to 1pm, entry will cost 50p. The Hamsterley Hoppings is held every year in August.

MEMORY NIGHT: Steve Conway and his Remember When show will perform a selection of hits from the 1960s and 1970s at Hamsterley Social Club on Good Friday (April 18). Tickets cost £6 on the door and doors open at 7.30pm.

CHURCH SALE: There will be a table top sale at Woodhouse Close Church, Proudfoot Drive, Bishop Auckland, on Saturday, April 26, at 11am. To book a table, which cost £5, call 01388-450838. Admission is free.

DAFFODIL COLLECTION: The Bishop Auckland Marie Curie Fundraising Group raised £3,500 through daffodil collections at Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Tesco. The money will pay for 175 hours of end of life nursing care in the Bishop Auckland area.

FUN FAIR: There will be a fun fair on Leeholme Recreation Ground, Coundon, on Thursday, April 24 and Friday, April 25, from 6pm, and Saturday, April 26, from 2pm to 4pm.

MEGA MAY: The Wear Valley Christian Centre, in Bishop Auckland, will hold a Mega May event on Thursday, May 1, at 6pm. It is open to children aged four to 11-years-old and will include bible stories, crafts, games, baking, and dance and video editing workshops. Places are limited.
