SINGING superstar Jessie J is looking forward to performing to a North- East stadium crowd.

The singer is headlining North East Live at Sunderland AFC’s Stadium of Light on Sunday June 22.

The 26-year-old chart topper says she is looking forward to catching up with some great friends who are also on the bill. “I just want it to be really fun and exciting,” she told radio station Capital North East.

“I’ll be going back to the beginning with some tracks like Mama Knows Best, but I’ll also be doing a few things that people haven’t heard before. “I’m friends with everybody on the bill and went to school with some of them so it’ll be like a giant reunion.”

Jessie J, who was a judge on BBC talent show The Voice, is leading a line-up of British and American talent that cludes fellow Brit School graduates Rizzle Kicks and Katy B.

The Saturdays, whose members Rochelle and Frankie went to the same dance school as Jessie J, will also be performing, as will R&B star Jason Derulo, whom the singer counts as a “really good friend.”

They will be joined by teenage sensations Union J and The Vamps, up-and-coming band Rixton and girl group Neon Jungle, who supported Jessie J on tour.

The gig, organised by SAFC and AEG Live, is open to all ages. Doors open at midday and the acts will be on stage between 2 and 10pm. Tickets cost £25 from www.safcconcerts.com, or www.uklive.co.uk/north-east For more information visit www.facebook.com/UKLiveOfficial or follow @north_eastlive on Twitter.
