A NEW charity shop has opened in Durham city centre.
The new Cancer Research UK store is in the Prince Bishops shopping centre.
It was officially opened on Thursday (April 10) by Dr Elaine Willmore, from the Cancer Research UK-funded Newcastle Cancer Centre.
The shop marks a return to Durham for the charity, its previous branch on Silver Street having closed in 2011.
It is the charity’s 560th store nationwide and will sell clothes, accessories and household goods.
Bosses are appealing for donations and volunteers. For further details, visit cancerresaerch.uk/shop
