FUNDRAISING and planning for the coming 12 months are top of the agenda at the annual meeting of a hospital friends group.
The Friends of Richardson Hospital, Barnard Castle, will hold their annual meeting at the hospital, in Victoria Road, on Wednesday, April 23, at 7.30pm.
Chairman Marie Yarker said: “We would encourage anyone who is interested in the Richardson and its valuable place in the community to come along. We’d especially like to welcome younger people.”
The committee will also be making final arrangements for the next fundraiser, a table top sale at Barnard Castle Methodist Church Hall on Saturday, May 24.
The cost for taking part is £10 a table and further details can be obtained from Mrs Yarker, on 01833-637615.
The friends started as an independent charity in 1981 and works in partnership with Community Ventures Ltd (Facilities Management) and County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust to support healthcare needs in Teesdale.
