TWO men will face trial after denying the murder of a former boxer.
Mark Denton, 31, who was once ranked England's second best middleweight amateur boxer, was killed at a party in Hartlepool on New Year's Eve.
Half-brothers Anthony Middleton and David Sowerby pleaded not guilty to charges of murder when they appeared at Teesside Crown Court.
Mr Middleton, 21, of Bruntoft Avenue, Hartlepool, and 24-year-old Mr Sowerby, of Allerton Close, Hartlepool, were remanded in custody.
Their trial will take place on June 2.
