A KNITTED depiction of the Last Supper has gone on display in a Crook café.

The Churches Together Group in Crook has created the scene now installed at Café Js in the town as part of their Easter celebrations.

On Friday, April 18, Churches Together in Crook will tell the story of Good Friday in word, music and drama in front of the town centre war memorial at noon followed at 6pm in St Catherine’s Church by the Witness Choir performing Angel Voices, an Easter musical drama by Richard Jones.

A series of Easter services are also planned, starting on Maundy Thursday, April 17, at 7.15pm with the Eucharist at St Catherine’s Church and Watching in Gethsemane from 9pm to 11pm at St Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Church.

On Good Friday, April 18, a service of meditation will start at St Andrew’s Dawson Street Methodist United Reform Church at 10.15am, reflective worship at St Catherine’s at 2pm, and a service at 3pm at St Cuthbert’s.

St Cuthbert’s will hold an Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday, April 19, at 8.30pm.

On Easter Day, Sunday, April 20, a parish Eucharist will be held at 10am at St Catherine’s, family worship at St Andrew’s Dawson Street Methodist United Reform Church at 10.30am and the Salvation Army will hold a service at 4pm.
